Volunteer Coordinator

We are looking for a volunteer to be the new Volunteer Coordinator for the Summer Winds Family Music Festival. We expect to have about 150 volunteers to help set up and run the event and we need someone with strong communication and leadership skills to help organize all aspects. The festival can only be run by the generous help of these volunteers, please let us know if you want to get involved and help the community.

Coordinator Duties:

• Attend monthly SWFM Committee meetings
  
• Contact all volunteers from the previous year to establish a current volunteer base and recruit new ones
  
• Collect information on volunteer availability, skills, and preferences
  
• Liaise with other committees to confirm the number of volunteers needed 
  
• Instruct volunteers, supervise volunteers and assist during event
  
• Prepare report to the chairman after the event
  

Requirements/Skills: 

• Effective communicator
  
• Excellent organizational and team coordination ability
  
• Working knowledge of microsoft excel
