Summer Winds Family Music Festival is an annual fundraising event for the Beaches Community Centre.

Originally created and continues each year to raise funds for the revitalization of the Beaches Community Centre, the festival has grown from about 400 attendees to thousands each year. Over the years Summer Winds has raised more than $450,000 in cash and in-kind donations, contributing directly to building and supporting the Community Centre.

The festival’s primary objective is to provide an accessible inclusive cultural event that brings together permanent residents, seasonal cottagers, and visitors, while supporting performers and strengthening the social fabric of the region. Attendees from near and far come to this annual festival. Annual participation has grown with anywhere from 1,000 to 1,500 attendees.
